During this visit to Hawaii, we were able to learn about the deep connection and historical background between Hiroshima Prefecture and the State of Hawaii. We were always warmly welcomed with hospitality at the Kenjinkai commemorative ceremonies.

We were also able to conclude international exchange agreements with University of Hawaii at Manoa and University of Hawaii at Hilo.  It became the first good start of our international exchange between the universities, which will officially begin next fall. We had very productive discussions with the global exchange office staff at University of Hawaii at Hilo regarding the specifics of the international exchange so that students on both sides can interact with each other through online classes and events before starting the exact student exchange.  Faculty members and staff can also be sent to our respective universities. We were warmly welcomed by the professors and staff at University of Hawaii at Manoa and Hilo and were able to deepen our friendship.

The visit to Hawaii was definitely a big prospective step forward for the future of Eikei University of Hiroshima.
