Experiential / practical programs for visualizing students' potentials

There are a variety of programs such as study abroad programs, internships, and volunteer programs in collaboration with partner organizations. Students must participate in overseas activities once while enrolled here, taking 4 credits (2 courses) or more. Students engage in program activities and deepen their learning through a curriculum involving preparation and review, as well as advice from their faculty members in charge. Please select a program in alignment with your interests.

Domestic Internship Program A In the second or third year, students are expected to take an active interest in society and deepen their understanding of their work by taking part in the day-to-day operations of private companies, municipal and prefectural administrative agencies in Hiroshima Prefecture, as well as international organizations.
*Domestic Internship B is a program designed to allow students to take over from one another. Students take over and develop their work methods and achievements from their predecessors and teach their work to their successors. It is expected that a greater sense of responsibility and understanding of the job, and new learnings and insights are generated by taking over.

Domestic Internship Program B
Domestic Volunteer Program In the second or third year, with the help of organizations that support the activities of non-profit organizations in the prefecture, students will gain experiences in voluntary social contribution by getting involved in activities such as community development, disaster support, education, and interacting with foreign tourists.   • The number of host organizations (including English-speaking organizations) will increase on demand.
  • Similar to PBL, internships are mainly hosted by corporations participating in the platform.
  • External partner organizations introduce volunteers to NPOs based in the prefecture

It is also possible for an individual student to apply for volunteer/internship programs run by companies and private organizations.
n case you wish to participate in the training, you will meet with your supervisor in advance to discuss the content of the training and determine its suitability as a site for off-campus training and whether or not credits can be given to it, based on the information on the implementing organization, content, and safety assurance.

Internship Abroad Program In the second or third year, with the cooperation of a private organization that offers internships abroad, students gain practical business experiences at companies and other organizations, which leads to stimulating their interest in other cultures and improving their negotiation and collaboration skills. 2 weeks (90 hours) or more The Intern Group
Volunteer Abroad Program In the second or third year, with the help of an organization that offers volunteer activities overseas, this course is conducted mainly in NGOs operating in developing countries.Through experiences in environments with different social backgrounds, students will contribute to local support activities while actively stimulating their interest in different cultures and deepening their understanding of diversity. Short-term study abroad program You can choose and participate in a summer school or short-term studying abroad program offered by universities affiliated with an external partner institutions or those affliated with Eikei Universitiy of Hiroshima. Study Abroad Foundation(SAF)
  • Participate in activities at universities, international corporations and other organizations through external partner institutions
