Separately, students must pay for textbooks, expenses for study abroad and extracurricular activities (including transportation, lodging, and so on.)

Financial Aid

International students may apply for the university’s unique tuition exemption and deferment programs, or scholarships from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and foundations off-campus. Each program has its own eligibility requirements for applications, and there is a screening process based on criteria such as family finances and academic records.

Student Visa and Residence Card

Student visa registration will start around July 2024. There is no need to apply until then. Please contact the Admissions Office if you already reside in Japan and need to update your residence card.

Student Dormitory

The 9th to 13th floors of the university’s campus building will be provided as a student dormitory. The dormitory is expected to be operated by student autonomy, aiming to cultivate a sense of responsibility and independence of students. It will be a place where students can work together and encourage personal growth in an environment where learning and life are integrated and that provides opportunities to be exposed to diverse values of people with different languages and cultures.
The procedure for entering the dormitory will be announced via e-mail around July 2024.

BYOD Device

Students are required to bring their own personal computing devices to courses, with a method called BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). In principle, your BYOD device must be Windows OS, and you must prepare the one which meets minimum specifications specified by the university. If you already have a device that meets the minimum specifications, you do not need to purchase a new one. If possible, it is recommended to subscribe to a long-term repair warranty or similar in case of malfunction or other issue.
