Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1966. After serving as a fund manager at large domestic and foreign-capital investment management companies, he founded Rheos Capital Works in 2003. Operates the "Hifumi Funds" series of stock investment trusts, which mainly invests in growing corporations in Japan.
