As part of the 25th anniversary of the friendship agreement between Hiroshima Prefecture and the State of Hawaii, U.S.A., a delegation from the State of Hawaii visited our university on September 1, 2022.
The delegation included Senator Brian Taniguchi, Hawaii State Government, University of Hawaii, and high schools in Hawaii State, and others.

We presented the visiting delegation with souvenirs such as Miyajima窶冱 traditional curved wooden round tray and rice paddle.
In return, Senator Taniguchi presented us the first edition of "Hiroshima" (1946) written by John Hersey.

In this mid-October, President Arinobu and Professor Uesugi Director of the International Affairs Center are scheduled to visit Hawaii as part of the 25th anniversary of the friendship agreement between Hiroshima Prefecture and the State of Hawaii.
We look forward to seeing them again.
