TRAN Minh Sang2nd-year student
I am developing the skills needed to realize my future path at Eikei University of Hiroshima

Seeking universities best fit with me

Initiated from a rural town in Vietnam, I decided to challenge myself by coming to Japan four years ago. Currently, I am a second-year student at EUH with many opportunities to develop my future. But before that, I started my adventure in Japan in Osaka, where I spent two years of language study and hard work.

When considering attending a university in Japan, I sought universities where I could learn a broad range of knowledge, including IT, data science, economics, and environment studies. These highlighted EUH as a unique option and especially suitable for me. Moreover, EUH gives me more chances to communicate with local students and be involved in English and Japanese. Furthermore, the affordable tuition and enrollment fee, as well as various scholarships offered by EUH are also facilitative for students like me to shelter my poor circumstances.

Cultivate hands-on skills and put them into practice

My primary purpose at EUH is to acquire technology skills, especially in IT and data science. EUH’s liberal arts courses are broad, and even though students are not supposed to have a high level of expertise, classes about economics and the environment are very interesting, and on top of that I endorse courses related to data sciences by Professor MORI or ICT classes by Associate Professor TSUCHIMOTO. Because these professors are nurturing students with more advanced knowledge, enhancing students' abilities in a significant mode. These days, to apply what I have learned, I joined the program called “EMI,” which purpose is to improve English skills for Japanese students in content class. I’m in charge as a data analyst and trying to utilize data analytical skills to provide helpful insight and several improvements to the program. At EUH, I’m glad that students can have opportunities to cultivate hands-on skills and put them into practice through various events.

Career path after graduating from Eikei University of Hiroshima

It is still uncertain about my future, whether I should become an employee for an entrepreneur or go to graduate school. Nonetheless, I will try to develop my skills regarding my interests and find out what I can do in the future. Currently, I am looking for an opportunity to participate in an internship in data science after applying knowledge and skills through courses at EUH and learning by myself. I want to be a data scientist who contributes to AI development. I would be really happy if I could start my career path in Japan.
