On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Mr. Diego Sinhué Rodríguez Vallejo, Governor of Guanajuato, Mexico, with which Hiroshima Prefecture has a friendship agreement, and other state government officials visited the university.

We presented the visiting delegation with a Miyajima’s traditional curved wooden round tray as a memento of their visit.

In return, Governor Rodríguez gave us prints of cityscapes and landscapes of the state of Guanajuato, painted by Mexican watercolorist Jorge Monroy.

Dr.YASUI Toshiyuki, Dean, gave an overview of Eikei University of Hiroshima.

During the exchange of opinions, BUSTAMANTE ANTONIO Martin Rogelio, an international student from Mexico, gave a report on his student life at Eikei Univerisity of Hiroshima.

After that, the delegation of the Governor of Guanajuato State introduced Guanajuato State, and there was a question-and-answer session about the status of the partnership with the Mexican partner universities.

We would like to express the highest gratitute to the delegation of the Governor of Guanajuato State for their visit.
Although it was only for a short time, we were able to exchange views on the future development of both sides.
